On Sunday, October 13, at 10 AM, join the Buck Hill Conservation Foundation for a hike to their spectacular overlook on Chestnut Mountain. The overlook provides a near 180-degree birds-eye view of Buck Hill Falls and the surrounding community, spanning from Spruce Mountain to the Delaware Water Gap. It's the perfect spot to see the fall foliage!
This is a challenging hike that ascends 400 ft. over 1.4 miles. It has features such as rocks, tree roots, uneven terrain, and a relatively steep stretch (a portion with a guide rope) as you make the final approach to the overlook, so it may not be suitable for everyone. Wear comfortable hiking boots, and bring your water bottle and binoculars to fully appreciate the view!
